Rated 5 out of 5 by John from Wonderful base to explore Madrid We stayed two nights at the end of June. We had two rooms. This hotel is a wonderful value. It is right next to the Atocha train station. It is a 30 min walk to downtown and less to some great sites (Prado, botanical gardens). We took train from airport (3 euros per person). We also used subway on some trips into town. A 10 ride plan that can be shared is around 12 euros). We left Madrid by train as well. This made the location even more amazing. The staff was wonderful. Check-in for international travelers requires passports for all, but this was quick and easy. We arrived early in the AM on an overnight flight. One of our rooms was ready which was great as some of the family could relax and we didn't have to store luggage while others explored. The rooms were clean and new. There is a safe and fridge in the rooms as well as water. The showers were excellent. The lobby and bar were a nice place to relax while others were getting ready. It is stylish and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again if back in Madrid. This was our first time in Spain and using this hotel was so easy and affordable (hotel and transportation with train station) that it was almost unbelievable.
